In the mid year of 2023 M/S P. Kharshiing undertook another project of The Hostel Mess at National Law University (NLU) is a vital component of student life, providing nourishing meals and fostering community among residents. This project aims to efficiently manage the mess operations to ensure the provision of high-quality, nutritious, and affordable meals while maintaining hygiene standards and addressing the dietary preferences of the diverse student body.

Key Components:

Menu Planning and Meal Preparation:

Develop a rotating menu that includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Ensure a balance of proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals in meals. Include a variety of cuisines to cater to regional and international tastes.

Procurement and Inventory Management:

Source fresh and high-quality ingredients from reliable suppliers. Implement inventory management practices to minimize waste and control costs. Maintain adequate stock levels to meet daily requirements without overstocking.

Hygiene and Safety Protocols:

Follow stringent food safety guidelines and hygiene practices in food handling and preparation. Regularly sanitize kitchen and dining areas. Conduct periodic health check-ups for mess staff to ensure they are fit to handle food.

Staff Management:
